Large Game Types

These games will be the large-scale battles held near the end of the event, or in brief intermissions and usually include 10-20 players. These matches are usually unranked outside of rare occasion.

Grand Melee

Much like it sounds, this is as large a free for all as it gets, encompassing the entire play field and every weapon available. Players are spread out into the far reaches of the field and the last combatant standing is the victor.

Team Grand Melee

Again, the entire field and all weapons are used, only now two armies take to the field to contest for dominance. Look well upon your allies however, to ensure you to not strike them down in the confusion. Teamwork is key!

Capture the Flag

This well known game includes two teams, each with a flag on their prospective side of the field. The object is to retrieve the enemy's flag and return it to your own base. This only counts if your own flag is still in your base when you return with theirs however, so a mixture of offense and defense is crucial.

If you are slain you must return to your teams line and count for ten seconds- (A marshal will be there to make sure you stay the correct amount of time.) - after which you may return to the fight.

If you have picked up the flag you must hold it until you have scored. If your flag has been taken it must be returned before a point can be scored.

As the flag carrier, if you are killed you must immediately drop the flag wherever you died. It may be picked up and held onto by team mates, or picked up and returned by your enemies.

VIP

This game is similar to Capture the Flag in the rules on death and respawning, only that instead of trying to capture the flag, the goal of the game is to kill the opposing team's VIP. Each team has a VIP (very Important Person) with a red sash on. Each team must protect their own VIP while simultaneously trying to kill the other teams VIP. When the VIP of one team dies, the other team are victors.

Siege

A taped-off area will represent a castle the defending team must protect, while the offensive team attempts to get inside to steal a flag from the castle before time runs out. The offensive team wins by removing the flag from the castle before the time runs out, while the defending team wins by either destroying all of the offensive team, or by keeping their flag in the castle until the time runs out.

Lazarus Men

This game includes two to four low level and mid level teams in combat with one another, with a high level team off to the sidelines called the “Lazarus Men”. Every so often, a Lazarus Man will be called into the field to attack whom they please, or to bide time so that more can join them. The object is for a team to wipe out all opposition, and have no Lazarus men on the field. As the Lazarus Men are all composed of skilled, high level players, it might even be wise for the teams to briefly work together to destroy one who enters the field- for if at the end only Lazarus men are standing, everyone loses.
